Bored Of Saas-Bahu Serials On TV? Watch Pakistani Dramas Instead

Pakistani dramas- a perfect supernova:
Pakistan sets the best example of being the perfect supernova in the entertainment world. The hardwork of Pakistani actors and producers is finally paying off as their work is appreciated by the world. South Asian audience prefer the latest Pakistani TV dramas because of natural acting and unique stories.
The first drama that crossed the boundaries of popularity is Humsafar that is a medium budget serial without any songs and dance. It has truly given Pakistani dramas the world recognition that they deserve. There was a time when Indian entertainment industry is led by Ekta Kapoor. Those who have seen the drama Zindagi Gulzar hai can understand my point very well, as it has created a fresh air against the regressive Indian tales.

Pakistani Dramas Do End After Few Episodes:
The Indian audience is used to serials that go on air for 10 years, its a bit surprising for the Indian audience to see another perspective. Pakistani dramas have 20-25 episodes which means that a single drama ends in 3 months. At par, Indian dramas being telecasted from generation to generations. Paki dramas have a meaningful script and without vulgarity dialogues that makes the entire series beautiful.

They Target Social Issues Unlike Saas Bahu Disputes:
Our Pakistani dramas also provide a moral lesson to the viewers, when we look at the Indian serials they do focus on one single topic saas bahu.  Theres no proper start, ending and written without any common sense.
Our dramas do not empathize merely on the glamour of women and commercialization. When a Pakistani producer calls someone for the role of a mother, then she actually looks mature, while Indians try to make mother much younger than her daughter.
One Indian channel Colors tried to bring fresh vibes for the Indian viewers, but soon they follow the same path. On the other hand, Pakistani dramas also work on sensitive issues in dramas like Kaash Main Teri Beti Na Hoti), Udari (child abuse) and a single episode of Kitni Girhain Baqi Hain.

Pakistani Drama Weddings Dont Long For Months:
Another grudge against Indian dramas is that they are never ending to begin with, if their wedding is celebrated on screen then it will last for months. It makes the audience get tired to see the whole festival. Pakistani believe in making it short theory as they dont make episodes to reach up to 100 or 200, its hardly 10-15 minutes screen time and don't stretch over for months and months.

Pakistani Actors Dont Overact- They Simply Act:
Pakistani TV actors have no comparison with the Indian counterparts, as they got to perform the layered characters on screen. On contrary, Indian women are shown in filling oceans with tears by adding extra chilies and masala that does not require any sort of acting talent.

The Dramas Does Not Based On Religion Or Caste:
Pakistanis have a unique quality that they dont need special scripts to be written for a specific group of people, we have seen that serials like Beintehaa and Qubool Hai are made for the Muslim households that contain typical qawwalis and Wallahs for that reason. Other serials focus on Hindu culture and traditions like Durga Pooja, Ganpati and theres always a temple scene (a must) after few episodes.
You wont find lines in all Pakistani dramas like we are Chaudhry just to show their caste, Paki dramas do focus on the culture of different provinces without mentioning the religion or caste system. There are no unnecessary mosque scenes in each episode.

They Dont Have Background Bollywood-Ish Music:
You have noticed that an entire Bollywood song is played in the background in Indian serials like when hero meets his lover rain starts within seconds without considering weather conditions and Lamhon Ki Guzarish Hai Ye, Paas Ajaen Hum Tum play suddenly in the background. OMG!
On the other hand, Pakistanis never adopt this policy, they just hold their hands and express their love. Indians should learn from us and should make reality based occasions that make the scene more natural and interesting.

In Pakistani Dramas Each Character Is Important:
Pakistani dramas are written in such a way that each character counts, and they have come with such great ideas. I give you an example of famous Indian series Naagin 2, I am sure you have seen at least trailer of it that focuses on the character of Naagin (Mouni Roy).
By watching single episode of Pakistani drama, you can guess the name of every single character. I bet that most of the Indians cant even guess the name of all characters, they just wait for the glamour and main artist on which the serial is based. Ughh!

They Focus On Women's Liberation:
Pakistani dramas try to focus on women liberation in its true sense that Indian soaps fail to do so. The drama directors have totally nailed it like character Kashaf from Zindagi Gulzar Hai, Zara from Aunn Zara and Maham from Mere Qatil Mere Dildaar. These such characters have depicted women's independence in Pakistani society to the world.

Pakistani Actresses Sleep In Nightwear:
Pakistani dramas put in an effort to make their shows believable, such that their characters sleep in regular nightwears just like normal human beings. While Indians try to show the hi-fi society by showing their women wearing sarees along with full makeup and jewelry.

Final thoughts:
There are obvious reasons to like Pakistani dramas, as they are progressive though the discourse may be in most serials. The dialogue delivery and movement of the story are based on audience's interest and likes. It seems that top Pakistani TV dramas have entered Indian households unnoticed.
